DenTek Temparin Max is a quick-set temporary dental repair material for short-term use at home. It requires no mixing and can help protect an exposed area or hold a loose restoration in place until professional dental care is available.

Key ingredients

• Zinc oxide powder and calcium sulphate
• Petroleum jelly, paraffin and potassium alum
• Aluminium sulphate and aluminium phosphate
• Menthol crystals, eugenol and yellow iron oxide
• Do not use if allergic to eugenol

How to use

1. Read all pack instructions carefully before use and wash and dry your hands
2. Rinse the affected tooth area with warm water; do not fully dry the area
3. Take a small amount of Temparin Max and roll it into a ball between your fingers
4. For a lost filling, slightly overfill the cavity and gently press the material into place
5. For a loose crown, cap or inlay, check it fits correctly first, then place a small amount inside before seating it back onto the tooth
6. Bite down gently to check the bite feels comfortable and remove excess material
7. Avoid chewing on the repair for 2–3 hours to allow the material to fully set
8. Arrange a dental appointment as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours

When to ask for urgent advice

• You have throbbing pain, swelling, ulceration, pus, fever or facial swelling
• The tooth is cracked, fractured, loose or very painful to bite on
• The crown, cap or inlay does not fit back accurately
• You have swallowed or inhaled a restoration, or the repair repeatedly comes loose
• You are unable to eat, sleep or manage the pain

Consult a healthcare professional before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, purchasing for a child, allergic to eugenol, or unsure whether the product is suitable. Do not place on open wounds and do not use where there is throbbing pain, swelling or ulceration.
